Sailing & Yachting Destinations

Caribbean

The islands of the Caribbean sweep southwards in a huge arc, making a bridge of giant stepping stones from Florida to Venezuela.

The Caribbean has something for everyone. From the smooth and protected waters of both the Virgin Islands and the Grenadines for people new to chartering to the more challenging open sea passages of all the islands in between for the more experienced.

Virgin Islands

MAP

The U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands offer outstanding sailing for crewed yacht charters in the Caribbean. The islands are never out of sight. The protected waters offer steady tradewinds, lots of sunshine, warm inviting crystal clear water, and smooth seas.

The British Virgin Islands also known as 'Nature's Little Secrets'; the yacht chartering capital of the world and home to the world's largest yacht chartering fleet.

Leeward Islands

MAP

The Leeward Islands span some 200 miles and include 10 islands operating as different nations. Anguila, St. Martin, St. Barts, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica. The variety is unparalleled. Many areas make for easy, comfortable cruising: others are more tricky.

Windward Islands

MAP

The Windward Islands are at the southern end of the chain, the last links before Trinidad and South America. The four main Windward Islands - Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenada - are lush and richly tropical, with high mountains.

Grenadines

MAP

Between St. Vincent and Grenada lie the Grenadines - a host of smaller islands, some with hills of a thousand feet, others no more than a reef-enclosed sand cay sprouting a few palms. Drier than the large islands, they all have perfect white beaches, crystal clear waters and colorful reefs.
